The Bentley Bentayga X Concept is a new off-road-focused study based on the performance-oriented Bentayga Speed, revealed at the FAT Ice Race in Zell am See. We created a set of our BX03-M Monoblock off-road wheels with custom lettering, showcasing the potential of this new concept.
It retains the Speed’s 650 PS 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, permanent all-wheel-drive and eight-speed transmission, along with the standard air suspension and 48V Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system. However, the concept’s stance and geometry are significantly altered for off-road capability, including a 120 mm wider track, 55 mm higher ride height, and widened wheel arches to fit forged 22-inch Brixton wheels with large off-road tyres, resulting in ground clearance just under 310 mm and a wading depth of over 550 mm.
Bentayga X leans into adventure readiness with a functional exterior, featuring roof-mounted storage and four auxiliary spotlights for extended exploration and an example cargo item (a small electric go-kart) to show load capacity. Other touches include twin towing eyes up front and the retained Akrapovič titanium sports exhaust, while the overall height reaches 2.49 m due to the added roof gear. The concept is part of a broader collaboration with FAT International and showcases Bentley’s exploration of a more capable off-road SUV variant without yet confirming production intentions.
The FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria, is a high-profile winter motorsport festival that blends historic racing culture with thrilling on-ice competition and automotive lifestyle. Held on the Zell am See airfield and nearby frozen surfaces in late January and early February, the event showcases a diverse lineup of cars — from classic and rare performance vehicles to buggies and all-wheel-drive machines — competing in races and demonstrations across multiple classes, including a signature skijöring discipline where skiers are pulled across the ice by vehicles. Scheduled activities often include practice sessions, qualifying runs, show drives, aerial flying displays, and finales that make it a dynamic spectacle for motorsport fans and automotive enthusiasts alike.
