McLaren 600LT Wheels (Green PF14)

It’s the new pinnacle of McLaren’s Sport Series range, the 570S’s harder, sharper, faster cousin: 96kg lighter, 23 per cent new parts, a car to follow in the footsteps of the fabulous 675LT. It’s the McLaren 600LT.

Strictly speaking this is the fourth in McLaren’s ‘Longtail’ range after coupe and Spider versions of the 675, and the car that kick-started it all back in 1997, the F1 GTR Longtail. Only nine of those were made. More of these will be made, although McLaren hasn’t put a limit on exact numbers, merely saying that production will begin in October this year and all will be built in the next 12 months.

In order to maintain the separation between Sport Series (570S et al) and Super Series (720S) models, the McLaren 600LT does without movable aero devices and hydraulic cross-linked dampers – those features are still reserved for the (even) more expensive models.

This particular green McLaren 600LT, owner by Harrison Woodruff, was outfitted with our new Brixton Forged PF14 RS finished in brushed Triple Tint with accenting green text / groove fill. The RS-Series is a fusion of motorsport, engineering, and design all in one package. The series is a response to the question “What would we get if we utilized topological optimization, traditional FEA, and our own passion for design?”. Our team dug into our CAD library and pulled out some of our top selling designs and applied the same formula, optimize + test + refine. The goal was to ultimately shave weight, and design structurally optimized forged wheels with flawless surface transitions that is as artistic as it is technical.
